If your institution has recently implemented any major financial aid policy, program, or initiative to make your institution more affordable to incoming students such as replacing loans with grants, or waiving costs for families below a certain income level please provide details:H15 In an effort to increase access to higher education, Texas Tech University implemented the Red Raider Guarantee program to guarantee free tuition and mandatory fees up to 15 credit hours per semester to new entering freshman who are Texas residents, enrolled full-time with family adjusted gross incomes that do not exceed $40,000. Eligible students who submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have a complete financial aid file BEFORE March 15 are guaranteed to receive funds based on available state and federal allocations. Any applications received after March 15 will be awarded based on available funding. Students may qualify for the program for up to eight (8) semesters of full-time enrollment. Under this program, tuition and mandatory fees will be paid by a combination of federal, state, and institutional funds. TTU Institutional Research rev 5.29.19
