In its 2025-26 report, Duke University says 55,541 first-year students applied and 2,910 were admitted, an acceptance rate of 5.2%. 1,749 admitted students enrolled (60% yield). Enrolled students who sent scores had a middle-50% SAT of 1510–1570 and ACT of 34–35. Compared with 2024-25, applications rose 7.2% (51,795 to 55,541) and the acceptance rate went from 5.7% to 5.2%.
